Hello PRSA Gulfcoast friends!
We have all heard the phrase, April showers bring May flowers. This month of May, the saying seems to be more accurate than ever. We are entering into a new, dare I say, post-pandemic phase where we are blooming again. After a year of isolation, we are timidly and safely resuming our regular lives. What a great time for this reemergence into normalcy! Mother’s Day is almost upon us, and season, although different this year, is coming to an end.
Our program this month, on Tuesday, May 25th, will take a look at the effect COVID has had on marketing and advertising. Brenna Kearny, content strategy director for Tom, Dick, and Harry Creative in Chicago, IL, will give us a look at how COVID shifted the conversation in an instant and how it substantially altered the way marketers, advertisers, brands, and people communicate on social. Please also watch the special message below from our Diversity and Inclusion Chair, Pam Fultz, for Asian-American Heritage Month.
My special thanks to our volunteer board, who puts together these timely and relevant programs for us — especially the moms who find time to help while caring for their families and juggling their busy careers.
I invite you to connect with us at our monthly meetings, on social media, or feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
