Happy March, everyone! This special month with the coming of spring, daylight savings time, and three COVID-19 vaccines, feels like we are turning a new corner filled with hope and promise.
But as we look ahead to happier times, it is important to look back and acknowledge the achievements of those who got us where we are today. March is Women’s History month so we should recognize the accomplishments of women worldwide including some recent glass ceiling shattering moments.
This past year we have seen the first woman major league baseball coach, Kim Ng- General Manager of the Miami Marlins, the first female Super Bowl referee – Sarah Thomas, and of course the first woman Vice President of the United States – Kamala Harris. Please watch the video in the newsletter below by our Diversity and Inclusion Chair, Pam Fultz, who has a special Women’s History Month message.
My special thanks to all the women of our PRSA Gulfcoast chapter for everything they accomplish for us, in their careers, and the examples they are setting for the next generation of strong, accomplished, and independent women. In the words of the military’s only female four-star general Jacqueline D. Van Ovost, “It’s hard to be what you can’t see.”
I invite you to connect with us, at our virtual luncheons, on social media, or feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
