The October speaker for the Gulf Coast PRSA Lunch-N-Learn will be Dr. Aysegul Timur of Hodges University, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Johnson School of Business. She will discuss the present and future growth of Collier County by demographic and economic indicators.
The luncheon will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Naples Hilton. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. Lunch and presentations begin at noon. Lunch includes a chicken salad and dessert. A vegetarian option is available.
Dr. Aysegul Timur joined Hodges University in 2000, and she currently serves as the senior vice president of academic affairs and dean of the Johnson School of Business.
Dedicated to educating aspiring business professionals, her areas of expertise include business policy and organizational development, quality control, statistics for strategic planning, health, and international economics.
Her career at Hodges has included serving in a variety of positions, including full professor of economics. She was promoted to senior vice president of academic affairs in 2017.
She holds memberships in Southwest Florida FutureMakers Coalition, WorkforceNow Research, Leadership Collier Foundation, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce – Opportunity Naples and Steering Committee member, Uncommon Friends Foundation, PEAK Group, Seaside Bank Advisory Board, and The Journal of American Academy of Business Editorial Advisory Board. In addition, she is a member of the Southern Economic Association, International Health Economics Association, American Society of Health Economists, Naples Council on World Affairs, APEX Circle – Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, Lee County Horizon Councils Workforce Committee, and the Southwest Florida Regional Economic Development Alliance.
In her spare time, she enjoys contributing to the community by volunteering with Junior Achievement of SW Florida, Leadership Collier Alumni Association, Southwest Florida Council Boy Scouts of America Alligator District and Collier County Public Schools, and participating in chamber of commerce and other community organizations.
