How Are You Spending Your Summer?
Last weekend, I flew to Wisconsin to spend a few days with family. Growing up on a farm with seven siblings, I treasure the times we have together, whether assembling a puzzle together, going for a long walk, taking a wine tour or sitting on the porch at the end of the day to catch up with each other’s lives.
These trips also help me regain perspective in my life. We’ve all read how important it is to step away from the stress of job responsibilities, family demands and daily living to understand the balance—or imbalance—in one’s life. Maybe all you need is a quick walk in the park or a week or two of vacation. Or, maybe you need a professional development workshop.
On June 25, please take a few hours to perhaps gain additional perspective with your life and advance your professional career. Darcy Eikenberg, a coach, speaker and author, will provide a hands-on morning workshop. Plan to invest in you by attending the “Communicating Your Value (While You’re Communicating Everything Else)” workshop, where you’ll learn how to better understand and talk about your own value at work. You’ll walk away with practical professional strategies you can immediately use on the job.
We’ll take a program break in July and will be back in August with a program about “Working with Consultants/Freelancers – Finding, Vetting and Maintaining Relationships with Freelancers – How to Make it a Win/Win.” In September, the lunch program will address the frequently requested topic of measuring media.
Enjoy your summer!
